Introduction

Sarah received her MPA in May 2005 with a concentration in state and local government and health policy. During her final year as a graduate research assistant at IPA, Sarah served the Delaware General Assembly as a Legislative Fellow. In 2003 she received her BA in Political Science with a Spanish minor. Her undergraduate work focused on politics in developing Latin-American nations. She developed an interest in health policy in Latin America after participating in a study abroad program in Mexico and attending the Model Organization of American States in Washington, D.C. Later, Sarah explored another area of interest during a nine-month internship at the American Institute for Public Service. There she learned the intricacies of non-profit management and gained experience in event planning for the organization’s national awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
