Introduction

During her assistantship for the Institute of Public Administration, Lindsey worked on the Brandywine Village Market Analysis and the Middletown (Del.) Management Study, as well as various other planning and economic development projects. Lindsey spent the second year of her assistantship at the Delaware Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in Dover, during which time she helped to draft OMB’s Departmental Strategic Plan, coordinated efforts to complete a Statewide Property Inventory, and assisted in the development of a framework incorporating a fiscal note into Delaware municipalities’ comprehensive plans. Lindsey also provided valuable analytical and research support to Dr. Simon Condliffe’s Fiscal and Economic Impact Analysis of the Wilmington Riverfront. Lindsey received the Director’s Citation in 2007 and worked as the Manager of Grants Administration at the New Jersey Highlands Council after graduation.

Lindsey has accepted a research assistantship at Penn State University and plans to begin working toward her PhD in Geography this fall. She is one of six graduate students pursuing research in interdisciplinary environmental sciences to be selected as an Earth and Environmental Systems Institute (EESI) Environmental Scholar for the 2008–09 academic year.
