Research MattersCollaboration Better Now Than Never for Many Delaware Nonprofits

DANA logoNonprofits are finding themselves collaborating more and more in order to succeed in the current situation of budget cuts.  The nonprofit sector has been searching for innovative ways to utilize resources and form mutually beneficial relationships. The Delaware Association of Nonprofit Agencies (DANA) surveyed approximately 377 nonprofit executives to assess the level of collaboration among nonprofit organizations in Delaware, with the intentions of discovering areas that could be improved and determining what DANA could do to foster higher levels of collaboration. The charts below illustrate the results from questions asked only to respondents indicating current involvement in collaboration. The questions were created in an attempt to better understand why nonprofits in Delaware seek out and participate in collaborative undertakings and the benefits accruing as a result of these undertakings.
