The following is a schedule of upcoming trainings, conferences and seminars in conflict resolution:
January 14 and 15, 2009, Mediation Training Institute International (MTI) will host a Trainer Certification in Managing Workplace Conflict in Washington, D.C. January 28-30, 2009, Baltimore Mediation offers Mediation for Parenting Plans: Custody, Visitation and Child Support Mediation and Conflict Transformation Skills Training. This 20-hour advanced training will provide participants with skills to mediate domestic conflict and violence as well child support, custody and visitation conflicts. February 4-6, 2009, Good Shepherd Mediation Program will offer a Basic Mediation Training workshop. For more information, visit their website at www.phillymediators.org.
February 15, 2009, Good Shepherd Mediation Program will offer a training session focusing on conflict coaching. This training will prepare mediators and conflict managers how to use conflict resolution skills to "coach" people experiencing conflict when mediation or litigation is not the answer. February 20-22, 2009, Mediation Matters will offer a Business and Workplace Mediation Training. This training is designed to provide both practical skills and a clear framework to help the participant resolve business and employment disputes. This session will cover basic mediation skills and processes and does not require previous mediation training. February 25-27, 2009, Baltimore Mediation will offer Basic Mediation Skills III: a basic 20-hour mediation and conflict transformation and resolution theory and skills course with a focus on sources of conflict and systems approach, with certification for circuit-court mediators and for daily use and practice. March 4-6, 9 & 10, 2009, Good Shepherd Mediation Program will offer a five-day workshop that walks participants through the process of divorce and custody mediation, from the orientation session to the completed memorandum of understanding. Summer 2009 (tentative), the University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration’s Conflict Resolution Program (CRP) offers a four-day Basic Mediation Course that provides professional and/or personal skill-building in the areas of conflict resolution and mediation. This training is designed and delivered by CRP personnel and is offered annually through the University of Delaware’s Institute for Public Administration.
