graphic logo for CRE ConnectionThe Conflict Resolution Education (CRE) Connection is an online resource “devoted to the promotion of conflict resolution education throughout the world.” The website provides a network that allows individuals with diverse backgrounds to connect, collaborate, and improve conflict-resolution education. The website seeks to increase awareness of conflict resolution–education options through interactive features that focus on providing the newest information on trends, movements, and resources in the field on a global scale.

The CRE Connection website is divided into five focus areas:

  • Researchers
    This section offers current literature and research tools that can be immediately utilized in the field. Also, collaboration on projects can be arranged, and suggestions for funding opportunities are listed.
  • Trainers & Teachers
    This section offers an extensive list of resources on many topic areas such as peer mediation, negotiation skills, bullying prevention, and law-related education. Also provided are learning modules and activities focused on how to teach students to deal with emotions in conflict situations as well as how an organization or school can create a conflict-resolution program.
  • Policymakers & Administrators
    This section espouses the use of conflict resolution in education. Resources administrators can use regarding issues as they relate to conflict resolution education such as bullying, juvenile delinquency and academic achievement are provided. This section also contains a policy-makers blog for postings regarding new issues and accomplishments in the field.
  • CRE Around the Globe
    This section shares information worldwide on culture and conflict resolution–education successes and ongoing projects. Information about previously held conferences, upcoming presentations, and meetings regarding the topic are also listed.
  • Partners & Projects
    Currently under development, this section includes information about existing advisory groups and sponsors. Also featured is an “ask the expert” option listing individuals who are deemed experts in specific subtopic areas such as classroom management, state legislation, and the implementation of comprehensive systems.
