ABOUT ASPA
For more than 50 years ASPA has served the
public administration community by recognizing public service
achievements, developing a substantive dialogue on relevant
issues, enhancing the professional development of its members,
and promoting the dignity and worth of public service.
ASPA publishes its own prestigious journal,
Public Administration Review, an issues-oriented newspaper,
PA Times, and many other special books and materials. ASPA
conducts an annual international conference and several special
theme and regional conferences on public management. ASPA
also sponsors a special initiative, the National Campaign
for Public Service, to improve the public's perception of
government and restore confidence in public servants.

ABOUT DAPA
DAPA is Delaware’s professional association for those interested
in, involved with, and/or committed to promoting public service.
DAPA provides a strong organizational network for those concerned
with public administration in Delaware.
DAPA fosters professional and social contacts at all levels of
state government, educational institutions, and quasi-public and
private organizations.
DAPA sponsors events to introduce new ideas and foster discussions
of complex issues so that public administrators become better informed
and trained.
DAPA publishes a newsletter that reports organizational programs
and meetings, announces upcoming activities, and highlights members.
The newsletter also provides a forum for members to contribute their
perspectives on issues facing public administrators in Delaware.
PROMOTING PUBLIC SERVICE
Scholarship
DAPA’s $500 Public Service Scholarship is awarded annually to a
student in the master’s degree program in public administration
at the University of Delaware.
Public Service Award
Each year DAPA presents its Public Service Award to a public administrator
who has made substantial contributions to professional public management
and service in Delaware.
PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
DAPA holds program meetings throughout the year and statewide.
These meetings provide a forum for the presentation and discussion
of ideas that affect the vital interests of those in the public
sector. A program consists of a speaker or panel of speakers and
usually includes dinner.
