The Institute for Public Administration (IPA) links the research and resources of the University of Delaware with the management and information needs of local, state, and regional governments in the Delaware Valley. IPA provides assistance to school districts, agencies, and governmental units through direct staff assistance as well as professional development programs and policy forums. The Delaware Department of
State, directed by Secretary of State Jeff Bullock, comprises 18 individual Divisions, Commissions and Boards. Some of the larger entities are the Division of Corporations, the Public Archives, the Human Relations Commission, the Veterans Commission, the Division of Libraries and the Division of the Arts, the Bank Commissioners Office and the Division of Historical and Cultural
Affairs. The Secretary of State is a member of the Diamond State Port Corporation Board, the Delaware Stadium Corporation, the Board of Pardons, the Cash Policy Management Board. The Secretary of State is also one of the State's bond issuing officers. As a member of the National Association of Secretaries of State, which created the national Commission for the Renewal of American Democracy, Secretary Bullock is committed to reconnecting, particularly young people, with history and the political process.
