This economic development training session presents a structured approach for the use of incentives that focuses on balancing the need to maximize economic outcomes with ensuring the judicious and transparent use of public funds. Municipal Clerks Certificate Training Program
The Municipal Clerks Certificate Training Program is a 40-hour program consisting of six Friday sessions on March 4, 11, 18 and April 1, 8, 15, 2016. Each session lasts from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participation in this training over a three-year cycle satisfies the educational requirements for the International Institute of Municipal Clerks' Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation. Some of the course topics also qualify for MMC certification credits, contact Fran Fletcher at franf@udel.edu, for more information.

Creating a Flood Ready Community
“Planning 201” reviews the multiple sources of flood risks to Delaware communities that can be addressed and mitigated through planning, codes, and ordinances. It covers floodplain requirements for municipalities and tools for adapting to flood risk. Sources of funding and technical assistance will also be presented.
