Mobility Friendly Design Standards Summit

FEBRUARY 26, 2004
UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE GOODSTAY CENTER
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE
8:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.

Attendance at this summit was by invitation only.

This half-day summit focused on the mobility-friendly design standards in New Castle County, Delaware. The goal of the event was to bring together leaders from New Castle County, state agencies, municipal governments, and the community to discuss and assist in the preparation of proactive-development, mobility-friendly community design standards. During the summit, national speakers Ed McMahon, Vice President and Director of Land Use Programs for The Conservation Fund and Thomas Hylton, President of Save Our Land, Save Our Towns, Inc., provided information on successful applications of mobility-friendly development standards throughout the nation. In addition, IPA staff presented an analysis on the state of New Castle County’s mobility-friendly standards.
