planning services highlightedIPA's planning services were highlighted in the inaugural issue of a University of Delaware magazine that focuses on southern Delaware—Southern UDelaware. The article touched on the areas of important service IPA provides to local municipalities in partnership with the state, including comprehensive planning, economic development, water resources, GIS, and local government training.
When asked about IPA's expertise and its role, planning services manager Martin Wollaston explained, “Most towns in Delaware do not have personnel with land-use planning experience. IPA has delivered direct staff assistance to many of these towns to address their current needs for town plans or ordinance revisions. Additionally, IPA continues to provide professional training opportunities to strengthen the planning knowledge of the elected and appointed leaders in these towns.”
