Project Overview
The Delaware
Technology Access Project is a joint undertaking of the Delaware
Community Foundation and the Institute for Public Administration,
University of Delaware. The project's mission is to
- Identify
and review the extensive array of programs around the nation
to provide technology access to communities,
- Create
ongoing collaboration between groups and organizations in Delaware,
and
- Provide
incentives for enhancing and creating
innovations and projects promoting technology access.
To meet these goals, the
Delaware Community Foundation has commissioned the University
of Delaware's Institute for Public Administration to assist with
the following tasks:
- Establishment
of an statewide atlas, which would provide
information on computer and Internet access sites available to
public;
- Study
and analysis of programs and projects across the United States
to provide community access to information technology;
- Creation
of and maintaining a central Web site to find, view, and update
the information.
In order
to pursue the project goals, the steering committee was formed:
