Sosena is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Financial Management at the University of Delaware.  In August 2008, she received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she triple-majored in Political Science, Global Studies, and Sociology (law, crime, and deviance). After graduation she spent a year working for AmeriCorps developing and implementing programs to uplift disadvantaged youth in Minneapolis, Minn.

She is currently working as a Research Assistant for the Institute for Public Administration. By pursuing her masters in public administration, Sosena hopes to combine her interests in government, finance, and criminology to obtain a career in public finance.
