Claire graduated in 2008 from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., with a BA in Audio Engineering Technology and a minor in Sociology. After graduation she worked for the Tennessee Office for Refugees in Nashville, helping to administer the Refugee Cash and Medical Assistance programs to resettlement agencies in the state of Tennessee. Claire is currently pursuing an MA in Urban Affairs and Public Policy with an undeclared concentration.
Claire’s interests include the integration of land-use and transportation planning, bicycle and pedestrian planning, and a resurgence of commuter trains. In addition to the technical aspects of transportation planning, Claire is interested in the social facets of how humans get around, including the cultural advantages and disadvantages of various types of transportation.
