Robert is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree. He graduated from the Catholic University of America in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilizations and History, with a minor in Medieval and Byzantine Studies.
During the summer and winter of 2008 and the summer of 2009, Robert interned as a research assistant with the Delaware Division of Public Health’s Public Health Preparedness Section. In this position, he was tasked with developing training courses for medical and law-enforcement personnel in the event of a hospital surge, creating a Request for Proposal for other training courses, and creating job task books for staff in an emergency setting. He was also charged with developing and executing exercises to test the readiness of the State Health Operations Center in a potential disaster situation, handling and analyzing “Sensitive but Unclassified” information, and drafting a proposal for state legislation.
Robert is currently working with the planning services group of the Institute for Public Administration. He hopes to combine his interests in the international community and in disaster management during his pursuit of an MPA.
