Kristen is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Policy and Urban Affairs with a concentration in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Delaware. In May 2008, she received a Bachelor of Arts from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Political Science and graduated magna cum laude.
During her senior year at Shippensburg, Kristen participated in the Harrisburg Internship Semester, a semester-long internship program run by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education that places students in working relationships with policymakers in the executive and legislative branches of Pennsylvania government. During that time, Kristen interned at the Center for Rural Pennsylvania, a bipartisan, bicameral legislative agency that serves as a resource for rural policy within the Pennsylvania General Assembly. While there, Kristen worked on several projects dealing with economic activity in rural Pennsylvania.
By pursuing her M.A. in Public Policy and Urban Affairs, Kristen hopes to combine her interests in government and her passion for the environment and obtain a career as a town planner.
