Natasha Edwards received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She was an active member of the NAACP executive board at Howard University where she played a vital role in establishing mentoring programs with local elementary schools in Washington, D.C. In 2006, she traveled to New Orleans to participate in the reconstruction efforts of the devastated community. This endeavor had a profound impact on her and sharpened her commitment to serving the public good.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in organizational leadership. Natasha holds a research assistant position with the Women’s Leadership Development Program, where she assists in researching, organizing and presenting women’s leadership training sessions.
Natasha hopes that her concentration in organizational leadership will expand and strengthen her leadership capabilities. She plans to use the organizational leadership and intellectual skills acquired from her graduate study to implement organizational change with in an agency or an governmental operation.
