Introduction

Erika grew up in Sacramento, Calif., and Avondale, Pa.  She attended the University of Delaware for her undergraduate education, concentrating in Natural Resource Management, Wildlife Conservation, and Resource Economics.   As an undergraduate, Erika studied abroad in Paris, France, and Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands.   She interned as an entomology lab assistant focusing on watershed quality with the Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale, Pa., and also worked as a research assistant for her advisor in the Department of Food and Resource Economics.

After graduating in 2006, Erika obtained an internship with a nonprofit environmental education center in the Hudson Valley in New York.  She taught environmental science and adventure-based programs to New York City public school children ranging from 3rd through 12th grades.

Erika returned to the University of Delaware to pursue an MA in Urban Affairs and Public Policy, concentrating in Water Resources Management and Policy.  She currently works for the Water Resources Agency within the Institute for Public Administration.
