I graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2007 with a degree in German and English. After graduation, the Department of Modern Languages at the University employed me as an Assistant Lecturer, where I taught German language and culture. In summer 2008 I traveled to Germany for an internship at the Technical University of Berlin and also did an intensive language course at the Carl Duisberg Centrum. This trip evoked in me a great desire to do more than just teach language and culture. I developed a keen interest in developmental issues, especially issues of economic development. It was a chance for me to really reflect upon the enormous differences between the developed and developing world.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Delaware. I hope to study, engage in, and work on developmental issues. Working on renewable-energy development for marginalized communities and developing infrastructure, in general, are some of my goals.
I am also working with the Institute for Public Administration as a Research Assistant.
