As a junior at the University of Delaware, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and Administration and a minor in Organizational and Community Leadership, with the goal of gaining a graduate degree in public policy, concentrating in nonprofit administration.
I am fully invested in service, leadership, and philanthropy on numerous organizational levels. In addition, I have been recognized by many national honor societies and organizations for my achievements in scholarship, leadership, service, and research. My interests are served by my recognized appointments to numerous faculty committees as a student representative, my position as a Senator of StUDent Government Association, as well as my involvement and founding of University of Delaware Roosevelt Institute Campus Network Charter.
My academic experiences with the studies of leadership, independent work with political campaigns, education policy, and philanthropy and service has exposed me to the dynamics of policy-making, research, and leadership in nonprofit organizations, education, politics, and social arenas.

Civics Education and Engagement Research, 2011
Continuous research remains in progress on the status of civics education and engagement at the national level as well as within the state of Delaware with a primary emphasis on civics standards, assessments, and accountability. A stated purpose of this research is the development of a comprehensive understanding of the state of civic knowledge and engagement of students K-12. With this understanding, the study seeks to examine the influence of federal, state, and local government comprised of those actors and institutions invested in education policy that generate initiatives, promote policies, and implement programs. This correlation between youth civic knowledge and external pressure of policies is contributing to the identification of the social and societal trends and consequences that result with a decline in civic education and participation. This research study that began in June 2011 has yet to report any conclusive findings.
