Gilad is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Policy and Urban Affairs with a concentration in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Delaware. He obtained two Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts in May 2006, where he majored in History Communication and Judaic Studies and graduated cum laude. During his undergraduate years, Gilad was active in student government.
Gilad’s internship at the Ministry of Tourism, during his junior year abroad at the Hebrew University in Israel, afforded him an opportunity to look at urban planning, history and commerce from the perspective of the tourism industry. He worked on projects involving preservation of archeological sites, which was constantly balanced against needs for urban renewal and infrastructure improvements. Gilad has worked as a realtor as well, which refined his interest in Urban Planning. Gilad chose to pursue his M.A. in Public Policy and Urban Affairs in the hopes of obtaining a career as a town planner. He is currently working at the Institute of Public Administration on a transit-oriented development plan for the state of Delaware with Edward O’Donnell.
