The Legislative Fellows Program,
managed by IPA and the College
of Human Services, Education & Public Policy, celebrated
its 20th program year in 2002. Through non-partisan, in-depth research,
Fellows assist Delaware General Assembly legislators in addressing
critical issues facing the state. In recent years, Fellows have
worked on areas as diverse as land-use planning, education reform,
and juvenile justice. IPA administers the Internship Program of the School of Urban Affairs & Public Policy, which is a paid work experience that has academic value for a student's program of study. Working under the guidance of established professionals, interns have an opportunity to apply the skills and theory they have learned in an academic setting to real-world problems.
