 Education Leadership
A key factor in the success of the State of Delaware’s unparalleled school reform effort will be its ability to strengthen the leadership skills of principals, superintendents, school board members, and other educators who are in the best position to direct and implement effective changes in curriculum, instruction, and school organization.
Formed in 1999, the Delaware Academy for School Leadership (DASL) is a former IPA administrative sub-unit designed to create a broad-based support network among school leaders, strengthen skills and technical competencies of current school administrators, and prepare others to assume roles in school leadership and identify and engage “critical friends” for collaboration. DASL is now administered by the Delaware Education Research & Development Center but remains a strong partner with IPA in the effort to effect quality leadership in public education statewide.
