 Women’s Leadership
IPA’s leadership development efforts for women focus on building the leadership capacity of individualsto help them become more effective in the various roles and activities in which they are involved. It is based on the belief that with training experiences and coaching, individuals can learn, grow, and change to meet the challenges of this new millennium.
IPA is involved in leadership development through the Women’s Leadership Development Program (WLDP). The program is targeted at women in state and local governments and has also been offered to women in nonprofits, in the private sector, and abroad.
Training modules have been expanded into portions of undergraduate and graduate courses and have directly impacted others (e.g., Leadership, Integrity and Change and Leadership in Organizations).
