 Dr. Myrna Bair, Director of the Women’s Leadership Development Program at the University of Delaware, conducted a series of workshops [through the U.S. Consulate General in Yekaterinburg, Russia] for the region’s women leaders.
The first workshop on March 9 attracted over 30 women from Chelyabinsk Oblast', representatives of government and non-government organizations, business and education, who traveled to Yekaterinburg to participate in this interactive training program. While some are newcomers to the program, many are building on previous training conducted by Dr. Bair in 2002.
On March 10 Myrna Bair conducted a similar workshop for Yekaterinburg's women leaders, and then she traveled to Perm to conduct the same workshop for Perm women on March 12. Dr. Bair came to the Urals region as part of the Speaker program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
